Board Members
George Mclaughlin - President
I am a Burnaby resident and a member of the Vancouver Velo Vets and have been riding at the track for a few years. I have been a member of the Burnaby Velodrome Board for the past two years. The Burnaby Velodrome Club would not survive without volunteers so I decided to get involved. I look forward to the support of my fellow board members during my term as president.
Scott Laliberte
My involvement in the Burnaby Velodrome goes back to the very beginning. As soon as the roof and trusses went up, I went to work cutting and putting down a good portion of the straight aways, dreaming of how exciting it would be to ride on this track.
Many years and many trials later here we are, turning out some great champions and running some amazing programs. I look forward to doing my best to serve the members of the club.
Paul Baker - Director of Membership
As director of membership my primary duty is keeping the membership database up to date. This includes downloading membership and learn to ride registrations, keeping rider insurance up to date, and keeping track of rider attendance. If you have any questions about becoming a velodrome member, insurance, or event registration please feel free to contact me.
Adam Barlev
Hi, I'm Adam Barlev and I'm the board member in charge of managing the rental fleet at the Burnaby Velodrome. If you have any problems or concerns about the safety or security of our rental bikes, dont hesitate to contact me. If you have any other types of concerns please feel free to discuss them with me as well. The board members are just humble servants of the regular membership.
Besides being pack-fill on Friday nights, have a degree in chemistry and biochemistry from UBC, but I currently work at the local road cycling shop La Bicicletta. I love cycling in BC, and I'm proud to be part of the Escape Velocity cycling club. If I'm not training or racing, I love listening to loud rap music and watching Japanese animation.
Scott Hollers Juston
Scott has been a competitive road and track cyclist beginning as a junior in his native Texas and then for most of his adult life in Australia where he was an active member in the Manly Warringah Cycling Club.
Scott is a naval architect who has run his own business for over 25 years. He has two sons, Jack and Travis, who also ride and race at the velodrome. He has served on the board of numerous organisations both sport and charity related.
Stuart Lynne - I am a senior systems programmer working in a local software consulting firm that I co-own with two partners. I took up Road and Track racing about five years ago after doing about five years mountain bike racing. My main interests are track racing in the winter and time trialling in the summer. I also help with two informal committees to help organize and set road racing venues in the Fraser Valley.
Mike Fellows
Mike has been cycling competitively for eight years after close to twenty years spent as a competitive runner. An engineer by training and a software developer by trade, he has been an active member of the Burnaby Velodrome for the last six years. Mike has also previously served as a volunteer board member for a number of other sports organisations.
